Competency Assessment is an integral component in the development of a sustainable economy. This process involves the assessment of learning acquired through formal and informal learning. The administration of the process facilitates the recognition of the existing competencies of workers, which in turn provides a host of other opportunities for the craft persons/technicians to either enter or re-enter into higher levels of the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system. The assessment takes into consideration a participant's knowledge, skill and ability and is conducted on an individual basis. The methods of assessment include a combination of desktop review, interviews, written and practical assessment/demonstration. NESC transcripts will be provided to persons for their regularization and placement within organizations.
