Graduates will possess the skills and knowledge to install and maintain high pressure and low-pressure steam and hot liquid systems, including various process and industrial systems. They will be able to fabricate, join and install any pipe system used for various purposes in buildings, using any type of pipe in accordance with production standards required by industry.

 
  • Mature students with appropriate qualifications and experience.
    OR
    3 CSEC/CXC Passes
  • Be seventeen (17) years or older.
  • Pass an interview.
  • Pass a Drug Test at their cost.

More Information

Graduates will receive an NESC Diploma (and will be eligible to pursue the NESC Journeyman qualification and the Trades Professional Certificate (Red Deer College (RDC), Alberta, Canada)).

The following are the primary objectives of the Fabricator - Boiler Maker Technician Programme:

  • Install and maintain high pressure and low-pressure steam and hot liquid systems, including various process and industrial systems.
  • Fabricate, join and install any pipe system used for various purposes in buildings, using any type of pipe including steel, alloy, cast iron, copper or plastic, etc.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications and working drawings and prepare layouts.
  • Calculate material quantities and compile materials lists.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with production standards required by industry.
